Our second DarkMode event was smaller, way smaller, so we had less of the energy of the first, which was on the same evening as the East Bay Bike Party. I actually enjoyed collaborating and exploring with this one more, because we had only a few people and we were able to sync the music to the videos on this one and really get into projecting dance onto the walls.
There’s so much cool old technical equipment at SudoRoom that our space does suffer from clutter. It was wonderful closing the dark to the shadows and putting these small performers flying across the walls for us. It was like being around a campfire with expert storytellers, and our fractured modern social media attention spans were narrowed down for a moment on these wonderful angels.
