Part of the joy of walking is running into interesting people. As a small woman it feels a lot less creepy for me to ask people if I can take their street style picture. It’s one of the few nice advantages of being small and female.
Little Tokyo
This couple was charming, especially since they got away from the cliche’s of cosplay. Nothing against cosplay, this is little Tokyo you know, but I thought they stood out in a cute way! I haven’t seen an Agnostic Front t-shirt on anybody in a few years either! And I love how this blonde lady got away from the stereotypes of blonde women in Los Angeles – no heels, no heavy make-up, just total style and class!

Lovely Dancer next to Quirk
I ran into this dancer while next to the vintage store Quirk. It’s note even her outfit but her demeanor! She moved so nice and we discovered she’s a dancer! So much confidence! I hope we can meet again. Some people just have it.

I caught a cool Y2K punk from behind. I hope she doesn’t mind this photo! It’s one of those times of year when people can wear both summer clothes and winter clothes, almost like San Francisco, so she was a nice change from the usual shorts. And mixing into the grimy skyscrapers of downtown, put together and very confident. There’s something about women who choose to live and hang out in Downtown Los Angeles – they’re definitely not basic!
